Prospective candidates for induction into the Hawaii Sports Officials Hall of Fame shall be proposed by a recognized sports official’s association, a selection committee or the general public. Final selection for induction will be made by the Board of Directors. To be considered for induction, each candidate shall meet the following criteria:
Worked as a sports official while residing in the state of Hawaii. * Avid supporters of the officiating community, who are not officials, may also be considered.
Be active, retired or deceased.
Demonstrated a commitment to officiating over a significant period of time.
Contributed noteworthy service to officiating and to an official’s association.
Demonstrated a consistent high level of achievement and skill at the level of sport officiated.
Demonstrated unquestioned character and integrity.
